About Band
The 1850 Project is still developing. It began life as a promise from an ageing musician to his son that on his 50th birthday and the son's 18th (a day apart in 2009) they would play a gig together (hence the 1850 in the band name). With several years to go they began rehearsing and developing songs, some new, some old ones brought out of retirement and reworked.
The recordings on here are home demos, mostly recorded by father and son for the other members of the band to learn. The one exception is Out My Window which features the band's drummer.
